The official launch of the draw took placeon Monday night in Navan O’Mahony’s GAA centre with representatives of all 59 Meath clubs in attendance.

Peter O’Halloran, Chairman of Meath GAA described the redevelopment of Páirc Tailteann as a vital project for the county and he said he hoped it would be supported by Meath people at home and abroad.

“This is the first time we have ever organised this type of fundraiser and we are delighted to partner with Glenveagh Properties on it. Even at this early stage the response has been hugely positive. We are looking to maintain that momentum for the duration of the project and to building a new stadium which everyone can be proud of. “

Justin Bickle, CEO of Glenveagh Properties said that the GAA is the heartbeat of local communities and that was key to the company’s involvement.

“Meath GAA needs to provide their players and supporters with a modern fully equipped stadium and that is the goal of this fundraiser. As a company which is also building and fostering communities in Meath, we are delighted to support this initiative from our developments in the county.”
