Although a bitterly cold day in Dunganny this game was played on good ground conditions with high intensity fired on by very vocal enthusiastic supporters.

It was played with thirteen a side which favoured the more running side particularly after one player from Bective/Dunsany was sent off in the first half and later followed by two from Dunderry in the second half.

Bective/Dunsany looked composed from the start and worked a score after three minutes via a close in free, and this was followed two minutes later with an excellent point from Pierre Fox. Two wides from Bective/Dunsany and one from Dunderry followed before Shane Walshe put Bective/Dunsany three points up after fifteen minutes. Dunderry pointed two frees before Cathal Murphy fired over a fine point from open play for the winners. Two points more for each side took the score up to half time Bective/Dunsany 0-6 to Dunderry’s 0-4.

Niall Flynn’s charges began the second half with Cathal Murphy converting a free kick. Dunderry responded with a good point, but Bective/Dunsany added points from Shane Walshe, Cathal Mc Connell and David Fitzpatrick. Dunderry scored again but more points from Bective/Dunderry put six points between the sides. Dunderry scored another point but three points from Bective/Dunsany closed out a comfortable win for the team in Red and White.

This was a good all round display with plenty of endeavour shown by Bective/Dunsany who now meet Carnaross/Moynalty in the final.
